SF Symbols beta should work on Catalina 10.15.3 and above (I'm on Catalina 10.15.5 and it works fine).

I'm not sure about the font mismatch, but you might need to uninstall SF Symbols 1, or check your Font Book and see if there's any warnings that you can fix.
