I ordered a 8gb M1 MacBook Pro last week (still hasn't arrived yet) and was wondering if I should have upgraded to 16gb.

I'm typing this on a 2014 4gb Mac Mini, so I knew the MBP would be faster no matter what. But after reading this I'm not regretting anything at all. Thanks for the article!
